"Drove into a farmyard and no dogs were originally present. As I was doing site evaluation before exiting vehicle, two German shepherds came out from behind the house not barking. They went to the passenger side to sniff the tires. I got out to read the meter on the pole. After reading the meter as I was returning to the truck, the dogs attacked. I deployed the Bite Terminator and made it back to the vehicle unharmed."

"Since implementing the Bite Terminator dog bite prevention system in select areas, we have been assessing its benefit. While we’ve been getting some anecdotal evidence of its benefits, we now have one very clear piece of evidence of its prevention use. A St. John’s meter reader had a “chunk” out of his Terminator, compliments of a cross between a German Shepherd/Collie dog (with a second dog onlooking). "A large Pit bull surprised Meter Reader in a small walkway behind some buildings. Meter Reader deployed his Bite Terminator as the dog lunged upon him and the dog shredded it instead of him. They really do work! I will be carrying mine regularly from now on. Thanks!"

"During his rounds, a Meter Reader entered a yard. Upon entering, a vicious dog prepared itself to attack him. Upon seeing the dog, he opened the Bite Terminator, and this stopped the dog in its tracks. With the Bite Terminator open, he withdrew safely from the yard. Once outside he closed the Bite Terminator and the closing of it caused the dog to back off even further. This was our first experience after the workshop and introduction of the Bite Terminator at the WEB Aruba N.V., and it proved effective in stopping the attack of a dog. We will encourage everybody in the Meter department to use their Bite Terminator to prevent dog attacks."

"I entered a yard to read a meter on the back of a home. The address was coded for a dog, though there was not one visible and there was no fence around the house. Just to be safe, I removed the Bite Terminator from the holster and had it in my hand. As soon as I rounded the back corner of the house, a Pit bull on a chain lunged toward me. Fortunately, since the Bite Terminator was already in my hand, I had just enough time to deploy it. The umbrella was destroyed, but it served as a barrier giving me space to back up beyond the length of the chain. The Bite Terminator undoubtedly saved me from being seriously injured."
